About Our Family
The Jessees are just a regular family with exceptional love for animals. In 2011 we decided to make the move from San Diego’s bustling city to its beautiful backcountry. As a family, we were ready for a little bit more space to grow and play and a little bit of a slower pace. Julian was a perfect fit. Before we knew it we had acquired a few dogs, some goats, a bunch of chickens, and a handful of horses and ponies. John (aka Dad) has been a self-employed business owner in San Diego since 1993. Julia (aka Mom) is a stay-at-home, home-school mom. Being a dog breeder was not something we had always dreamed of but, as things progressed in our self-proclaimed "farm life " so did the thought of bringing lots of puppy love into other people’s homes. We made the decision to create a breeding program within our family of dogs. This is a heart project of ours, combining some of what we would say are the very best breeds and creating epic doodles! All of our dogs are created and cared for with nothing but love. As a family, we have 11 dogs. Not all of them are in our breeding program, but all of them are in our family. Retired dogs remain in our home for life. All our breeding is done naturally at our ranch, and we do not use guardian homes or stud services. Our mission is to bring love and companionship into loving homes everywhere. In a world of so many hard careers, educations, jobs, choices, tasks, and commitments; we believe in a wagging tail and a wet nose to bring us back down to earth. We live in the beautiful San Diego mountain community of Julian. When you come for a visit to see our puppies or pick up your forever furry friend, you can also enjoy the incredible community we get to call home. Julian is known for its apple picking and apple pie.
